Tempered glass (also known as toughened glass) is an extremely robust glass which has been thermally heated to induce compressive stresses of 11000 to 20000 psi on the surfaces and edge compression of not less than 9700 psi.
Laminated glass, regard as “Safety glass”, consist of two or more panes of glass with one or more layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) sandwiched between them and treated. The glass panes can be basic float glass or tempered or heat strengthened panel. Laminated glass is used in places where the possibility of injury during accidents is high, like the windscreen.

Double glazed units are an ideal energy efficient choice with the added benefit of minimizing noise. The sealed air gap between the two glases acts as an added layer of insulation. This adds thermal resistance and reduces the amount of heat escaping in winter and keeps your home at a more comfortable temperature. Double glazing glass has the opposite effect in summer, preventing unwanted heat from coming into the home. This extra insulation lessens your reliance on electrical heaters and air conditioners and can ultimately reduce your energy costs.
Ceramic Printed glasses also known as Silk Screened glasses has drastically gained wide-spread for decoration in building interior and exterior facades. Ceramic printing on glass is done with special enamels which is applied to glass just before it is tempered. During the heating procedure in bending or tempering, this enamel embed into the glass and becomes a monolithic construction.
Frosting the glasses is done by the acid etching or sandblasting on clear sheet of glass. This adds a pitted pane on one side of the glass surface and has the effect of rendering the glass translucent by scattering the light which passes through it, thus blurring images while still transmitting the light.
Float glass is distortion-free glass and extremely smooth which is used in many window applications. It also provides the material for many other forms and shapes of glass, including laminated glass and tinted glass (heat absorbing).
Figured Glass also known as Patterned Glass is a translucent and decorative glass with pattern on one surface of it. They offer decorative benefits to interior designers, architects, builders for a range of exciting applications in hotels, restaurants, office interiors, homes and other venues where light and privacy are important.
